girly post alert!

got to chat with O on his trek home yesterday. good times - i miss the bastard.

and despite the fact that we discussed other potentials, despite the fact that we were openly curious (and not at all jealous) about each others' sex lives, despite the fact that we're now in rather different places and not likely to see each other for awhile, we're still a couple in denial. very much so, i think.

although neither of us says anything completely directly still. it's just accepted and understood that we feel a certain way, but there's nothing to be done about it at the moment, so may as well just settle on being friends. it's the best we've got at the moment. and in all honesty, even if one of us hooks up with someone else over the next while, i think we'll both be cool with it. prolly because our whole friendship's based on having relaxed attitudes towards everything. and honestly, it's nice knowing that i have someone that i love and that loves me, but that even if we didn't end up together in the end, we'll still be friends.

it's just rather unfortunate how many things i'd gotten used to doing or saying around him, none of which are understood or appreciated by people here. ah well. there's always email and telephone.

mind you. he admitted to having kept the scrap paper i draped over his head when i was leaving, keeping it in his pocket and rubbing it between his fingers whenever he puts his hand inside, and unable to throw it out cuz it makes him think of me. and i just find it fuckin cute. made me feel like a warm fuzzy when he told me, and i still find it adorable. this, coming from the guy who spent so long insisting there was nothing more than friendship between us (though, allow, i did the same). {g}

we do make a good pair when we're together, though. s'just silly that we had to have that pointed out to us by onlookers. but expected!

oh, and the amusement of finding out that we share the same name-day, at least by the czech calendar. {g} john lennon's birthday will be a fun one this year - party for john, party for O, and party for me!
